European expansion for flydubai

FLYDUBAI HAS announced the addition of four new European destinations to its network, to become the first UAE-based airline to operate direct services from Dubai/International to Chișinău, Iași, Riga, and Vilnius. Operations to Chișinău and Iași begin on September 17 and 19 respectively, followed by Vilnius and Riga on December 11 and 12, increasing the airlines European network to 35 destinations across 20 countries. The expansion marks its first foray to the Baltics and Ghaith Al Ghaith, flydubai CEO, said the additions were a sign that the carrier was committed to opening up “underserved markets”. Iași becomes the second Romanian city served by the carrier, following the launch of its Bucharest operation in 2012.
