Sunwing bows out as WestJet completes merger

SUNWING HAS operated its last commercial flight following WestJet’s integration of the Canadian leisure airline.
WestJet acquired Sunwing in May 2023 and spent the following 12 months integrating the carrier into its own operations, while also absorbing ultra-low-cost airline Swoop in October 2023.
