Spirit’s EAS tie-up

SPIRIT AIRLINES is set to launch new routes from smaller Essential Air Service (EAS) markets across the US through a new partnership with Contour Airlines, aiming to bring low-cost, nonstop flights to popular leisure destinations and reduce the need for long drives to major airports. Under the agreement, Spirit will introduce services from several of Contour’s EAS cities, while Contour will provide ground handling support and leverage local ties to cross-market the new flights. The initiative is designed to improve connectivity and grow passenger traffic in underserved regions by combining Contour’s regional expertise with Spirit’s national low-cost model.
