Heathrow boss quizzed over closure chaos
THE BOSS of Heathrow Airport, Thomas Woldbye, along with officials from the National Grid and power provider SSEN, were called to give evidence to the Transport Select Committee over the fire at an electrical substation in Hayes on the night of March 20. The fire led to the airport’s full closure until around 6pm the following day, disrupting more than 270,000 passengers.
