L3Harris becomes Acron Aviation

L3Harris Commercial Aviation Solutions has begun trading as Acron Aviation after private equity group, TJC, completed its acquisition of the avionics, training and data analytics specialist. The new name is derived from the Greek word Akron, meaning summit or highest point, symbolising the ambition and mission the company has for the future. Its Airline Academy, headquartered in Florida, will continue to offer FAA (Federal Aviation Administration), UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB) licence training.
