First flight for Virgin A330neo

Spotted in the skies above Toulouse/Blagnac on August 12 was F-WWCG (c/n 2018). The example is likely to be the first Airbus A330neo to be delivered to Virgin Atlantic. The carrier has up to 16 A330neos on the way after it placed a firm order at the 2019 Paris Air Show. From September 2022, Virgin will take delivery of three -900 variants, with remaining jets joining the roster from 2023 to 2026. While subject to change, the Crawley-based carrier has indicated that Boston will be the launch route for the widebody neo in early October, with other transatlantic destinations to follow as additional deliveries are made.

Letters to the Editor
Information for the traveller. Dear Editor, I
UK Visitors
We present a selection of images of visiting aircraft from airports around the UK. For the most part, they’re commercial jets, but almost all of them are unusual types, wearing new or unique liveries or first visits by an airline or airliner to a particular airport. If you see something out of the ordinary while on your travels, please send in your pictures. Photos can be emailed to: airlinerworld@keypublishing.com Please ensure you provide full details with the images, particularly the date, location, airline name and aircraft identity.
