ASIANA AIRLINES has completed the sale of its cargo division to Air Incheon, making the latter South Korea’s second-largest cargo airline. The £250m sale is part of Asiana’s ongoing merger with Korean Air and, as part of the deal, it transferred ten Boeing 747-400Fs and a solitary 767-300F to Air Incheon. The divestment was required for European regulatory approval of the merger, which was granted in February 2024. Following the acquisition, Air Incheon, which currently operates a fleet of four 737-800Fs, rebranded itself as AirZeta.
