Spirit’s struggles continue

FLORIDA-BASED SPIRIT Airlines has raised serious concerns about its future. In its quarterly results report, the airline said that challenging market conditions, including weak demand for domestic and leisure travel, meant a tough pricing environment for the ULCC. It said that it expects these issues to continue throughout the year, and its dwindling cash reserves brought its viability into doubt.
