This slightly scary late 18th to early 19th century Irish stone head, from the nave of a church in Cork, is going, appropriately, to appear in the upcoming film The Mummy, due for release in June.
The staggering bandaged corpse from the ancient past has been replaced with Tom Cruise playing a female mummy bent on global destruction.
This stone head was sold to set designers for the film by Antiques Young Gun Lily Johnston of Bombe Antiques, who was co-winner with Lucie Farrimond of Three Toads Antiques for a free pitch at Salvo 2016 (see left).
