MADAM – I read with interest your story about Evelyn Dunbar’s Joseph’s Dream, which set a world-record price for the artist of £73,500 (£60,000 hammer) at Cheffins on May 11 (ATG No 2292).
Your piece states that this was only the second time a painting by Dunbar has appeared at auction, following another at Sworders recently.
This is untrue. The first paintings by Dunbar to appear at auction since her death happened six years ago, in July 2011 at TW Gaze in Diss.
