This oak Bressamer beam corbel features in The Pedestal’s sale of furniture and objects at Manor Park in Hertfordshire on November 21.
It was carved c.1520 by the circle of the so-called Master of Elsloo, a Netherlandish sculptor who worked in and around Roermond in the early 16th century.
The 9in (23cm) high sculpture is carved as an elderly bearded man, clutching a belt or ribbon between his out-stretched hands.
