BADA to certify ivory ahead of law changes

Dealers association to begin certification regardless of government policy decision

Antique dealers association BADA is to proceed with its planned certification scheme for objects made from or containing endangered species (ATG No 2265), ahead of any changes to the law.

Under the scheme, which is open to both association members and non-members, BADA experts will inspect objects to assess whether they can benefit from the worked antique exemption that currently exists for endangered species.
