Mid Argyll employers were invited to Lochgilphead Joint Campus on Friday September 28 for a tasty soup and sandwich lunch prepared by the high school’s S4 Skills for Work class.
The gathering offered the opportunity for pupils to meet and have a chat with company representatives and vice versa.
Head teacher Ann Devine stressed the importance of building strong links between the school and the business community, while S5 and S6 pupils – Chad Campbell, Cameron Gilthorpe, Joshua Kirkwood and Chloe MacKinnon – gave an account of their own experiences on work placements. Each had gained a great deal from the workplace and viewed it as a worthwhile exercise in their career development.
