Accentuating the positive could bring benefits

PEOPLE power is surely going to pay dividends for Inveraray.

Using the vehicle of the community company, or Inspire Inveraray, residents of the royal burgh have taken matters into their own hands with a positive initiative to open the town up once again to Loch Fyne.

The elephant in the room is clearly the dilapidated pier. It is a crying shame to see this historic structure left in this condition and shut off from the public, but since little progress has been possible on rectifying this situation, the decision seems to have been taken to set it aside and look ahead with fresh ideas.

This might just lead to new opportunities for the royal burgh – and more power to the people behind this as they seek to Inspire Inveraray.

Glowing success

A GREAT deal of effort and expense goes into the annual fireworks and bonfire night celebrations in Lochgilphead, Tarbert and in villages around the region. Congratulations to everyone involved in these events.
