Climbing to the light for caring charity

CLIMBING a mountain in the dark might appear a daunting prospect, but two Mid Argyll women have done just that.

Delores Firth from Ormsary and Ruth Carruthers of Ardrishaig took part last month in a charity trek up Ben Nevis in aid of the charity CARE International.

The trek began at 3am, so most of the climb was done in darkness by the light of head torches.
