Fundraising campaign launched by museum to preserve Coll collection

A CAMPAIGN has been launched to raise enough cash to preserve some of the rarest Bronze Age artefacts discovered in Argyll.

Kilmartin Museum must raise £10,000 to undertake the essential conservation work on an incredible hoard of bronze weapons discovered on the isle of Coll.

Kenny MacIntyre, a metal detector enthusiast on Coll, was exploring the south of the island at Breachacha one morning in summer 2015 when he came across a metal object.
