A GROUP fighting for pension equality for women met in Inveraray last Saturday, with members travelling to the Royal Burgh from all over Argyll.
Women Against State Pension Inequality (WASPI) is a campaign group calling for fair transitional state pension arrangements for all women born in the 1950s.
The 1995 Pension Act included plans to increase women’s state pension age to 65, in line with the male retirement age. WASPI fundamentally disagrees with the way in which the changes were implemented.
