Runners on the start line for MOKRUN 2016

32 runners who have run every MOKRUN will race on the event’s 11th birthday

A HUMBLE stopwatch was once used to time all races but this year’s high tech MOKRUN will incorporate timing chips in the race number bibs.

Which means organisers are warning, the 1,000 runners, set to stampede across Kintyre, in this year’s MOKRUN on Sunday May 29, to make sure they bring their race number bibs to the start.

A MOKRUN spokesperson said; ‘No race number at the start will mean no race.’

Last year, Andrew Dott, left, Euan Charlwood and Gregor Campbell were the top three in the boys’ 9-11 year-old race.
