Kinlochshiel slip sets up a shinty title nail-biter

Marine Harvest Premiership

Kyles Athletic 1

Newtonmore 0

KYLES Athletic took advantage of Kinlochshiel dropping a point by beating Newtonmore and setting up the most exciting top flight title race in recent years.

The only goal of the Kyles’ home game, which was switched to Mossfield in Oban, came following a corner on 43 minutes. Four players tussled for the ball which bounced to the side, around the penalty spot, where Kyles’ Sandy Mac- Kenzie reacted first and fired a waist-high shot to keeper Norman Campbell’s right, into the net.
