Axes at the ready for Viking Festival

GET SET for the upcoming Viking invasion at a special Viking workshop in Inveraray.

With Loch Fyne Viking Festival just around the corner, July 6, a one-off Viking workshop will be held in Nicol Hall in Inveraray this Saturday to help make beards, axes and shields to take along to the Nordic celebration.

The Viking Festival programme will start in Inveraray on July 6 at 11am, with the longships arriving in the royal burgh at noon. The Viking programme in Inveraray will continue at least until 3pm, however, before moving on to Lochgilphead the next day.
