Bringing festive cheer to homeless ex-service personnel

HOMELESS former service men and women could be facing a miserable Christmas, but a Lochgilphead youth group is out to help.

Mid Argyll Youth Development Services (MAYDS) has launched a charity shoebox appeal for Soldiers off the Street Scotland.

Soldiers off the Street Scotland is a charity dedicated to helping ex-service personnel who have been affected by homelessness. The charity works to help re-home veterans and has an outreach van that takes clothes and food to the veterans on the streets and provides them with access to a microwave and hot water.
