THREE men were arrested after the tranquillity of a village on the shores of Loch Long was shattered in a mini weekend crime wave.
At around 9pm on Saturday April 21, police received a report of a 59-yearold man being robbed in Main Street, Arrochar. On arrival at the scene, the man was found to be suffering from head injuries, which required hospital treatment. Shortly after, police received a report of a disturbance outside the Ben Arthur Bothy bar in the village, during which a car had crashed into a wall.
The vehicle involved had been reported stolen from Partick in Glasgow earlier in the week. On the same evening, yet another incident happened, when an attempted housebreaking was reported in the hamlet of Succoth, just outside Arrochar. Following police inquiries, men aged 22, 23, and 45 were arrested and charged in connection with the incidents.
