Rebecca stars in another Mid Argyll Triathlon success

ONCE again the Mac-Queen Bros Mid Argyll Triathlon delivered on its reputation as one of the most fiercely contested - and friendliest - events on the calendar.

A triathlon that promotes community participation, last Sunday’s competition also attracted some of the best athletes from across Scotland.

That feelgood factor from the Olympics and Paralympics was clearly still around, with the superlative results of Team GB and Paralympics GB perhaps encouraging some stunning performances on the Mid Argyll course.

In total there were 134 entrants competing in this multi-sport challenge (500m swim, 20km bike and 6.5km run) hoping to be the next Brownlee or Vicky Holland. New personal bests were set and athletes exceeded expectations, spurred on by enthusiastic support from friends, families and club mates.
