Communities come together to plan big Crinan Canal revamp

Ideas range from arts centre to better signs and parking

THERE were many big and exciting ideas on how to revamp the Crinan Corridor at a recent charette, or design workshop, held in various venues along the canal.

Ideas ranged from a new arts centre for the area to improved signs and car parking.

It is hoped these ideas will come to fruition and help rejuvenate the area around the 215-year-old canal which has been called Scotland’s most beautiful shortcut.
