North Ayrshire’s Labour administration says it has delivered the most radical council budget for many years.
As reported in last week’s Banner, householders on Arran face a three per cent rise in their council tax to help pay for the £326 million revenue budget.
Speaking after the budget, council leader Joe Cullinane said: ‘I have proposed the most radical, anti-austerity budget seen in North Ayrshire for many years and I am absolutely delighted that it has passed. It stops the cuts and invests in our future.
