Graeme McCormick will host a public meeting tomorrow (Sunday) on the topic of annual ground rent, an innovative concept, basing the funding of public services from a tax on land value rather than income.
Over the past year, Graeme has been touring Scotland with his presentation of a model of annual ground rent which addresses many issues, including land reform, increased public revenue to address austerity, replacement of existing taxation, substantial reduction in most people’s contribution to the public purse and a driver for economic growth. Graeme sets out the case for a responsible and viable way of stimulating the economic prosperity Scotland is capable of.
The meeting will take place from 2pm to 4pm at the Ormidale Pavilion in Brodick, and is likely to spark an interesting discussion.
