The group of Scottish amputees, called the prosthetic pedallers, will start their annual charity fundraiser today (Saturday) when they cycle around Arran in order to raise funds for the Glasgow-based charity, Finding your Feet.
The charity challenge which is now in its third year will, for the first time, see amputees taking part when Nikki Etheridge and Taylor ‘Taz’ Jones, and quadruple amputee Corinne Hutton will take to tandems, co-piloted by experienced cyclists Craig Alexander, James Eccles and Ally Anderson, to tackle the route, while Becca Seller will attempt the full 90km solo.
The group will be joined by more than 60 other cyclists and the proceeds of the fundraiser will go directly to supporting further sporting and social initiatives for amputees in Scotland.
