Plans to change bus services a step closer

North Ayrshire Council is pushing for changes which could help pave the way for local bus services to be run and operated by the local authority.

Earlier this year, the council agreed to explore options to run local bus services, including its own municipal bus service. Now, in response to Transport Scotland’s consultation on local bus services in Scotland, the cabinet is to submit proposals which could help it achieve its goal.
