Popular annual Brodick church fete and auction retur

The popular Brodick Church fete is being held today (Saturday) at 2pm in the church and grounds.

As in past years, there will be baking, tombola, book and bric-a-brac stalls and other attractions including the ever-popular tearoom. Children will also be well catered for with a range of games in the grounds as well as a toy stall. Throughout the week costumed helpers have been seen on Shore Road helping to sell entries to the duck derby where punters can win a valuable cash prize. The winning number will be drawn at the fete at 3pm. Then on Thursday, July 21, starting at 8pm, the church holds its popular auction at Brodick Golf Clubhouse, with a host of excellent bargains on offer.

There will be a chance to view the many lots in the church hall from 2pm to 3pm in the afternoon, preceding the sale. These two fun events have a serious intent - to raise funds for the church, a focal point for the community.
