The MV Isle of Arran has had a total of 135 cancelled sailings this summer on the main Arran ferry route, according to official figures supplied by operator Caledonian MacBrayne.

The ferry company revealed the figures this week, after a series of cancellations of the second summer ferry, which show that more than 17 per cent of sailings have been lost. While some are weather related, the majority are as a result of the vessel operating with temporary repairs.
