Keep the courts

I’d like to endorse the plea for retention of three tennis courts at Lamlash, as stated in recent correspondence in your columns. As a regular visitor to Arran, one of the enjoyable activities for me is a regular game of tennis at Lamlash.

The courts are often fully occupied, particularly in the holiday periods. A reduction to two courts would certainly limit the freedom to just turn up and be assured of a game. The beautiful setting makes the experience so enjoyable and the rare provision of a clubhouse is an added bonus.
