Supporters of The Smile of Arran Trust have completed their third annual walk around Arran, raising more than £1,000 for the charity that supports children with brain tumours and brain cancer.
The charity was started in 2014 by the parents of 13-year-old Arran Tosh from Essex, who suddenly succumbed to a brain tumour four days after being diagnosed. Since then, mum Alison Tosh, family, friends, supporters and grandparents of Arran have come to his island namesake, holding a stall at the Brodick Highland Games before setting off on their round Arran walk, stopping in at supporting organisations along the way.
Lamlash Golf Club held a fundraiser collected more than £555 for the group, which Alison described as overwhelming and very much appreciated. She also thanked the Lamlash Bay Hotel which has collected for them throughout the year.
