Public to be consulted on Arran cemeteries

The residents of Arran will be given the chance to have their say on the future provision of cemeteries on the island.

North Ayrshire Council’s cabinet this week considered proposals which would see the number of cemeteries on Arran consolidated due to a lack of suitable available land, as reported in last week’s Banner.

However, public consultation will be held before any final decision is taken.
