A group of 19 friends took part in the ArranMan triathlon and the 10k run in memory of their friend, while raising more than £7,000 for a mental health charity.
Michael Clarkson of Edinburgh, and friends undertook the gruelling challenge after a close friend, Alan Ritchie - whom they went to university with - died two years ago after battling with depression.
Their aim was to raise awareness of mental health and to raise money for the Scottish Association of Mental Health (SAMH) who offer mental health support in communities across Scotland. They also host a national programme in suicide prevention and provide mental health social care support dealing with homelessness and addictions and employment services.
