Arran United off to a flying start with new playing kit

Arran’s newest youth football team, Arran United, received their official strips sponsored by the Lamlash Bay Hotel at a short presentation ceremony held on the pitches behind the Arran High School last week.

The team was started by husband and wife team Lee and Matt McCrimmon-Harvey after their son Ben was asked to join St Mirren.

Based on Arran this was not an option, so with Ben’s growing interest in football and with no team to play for, the Arran youth team was formed. With youngsters from various villages on Arran, they decided they wanted their team to be called Arran United.
