WITH summer now in full swing (yes, really, look at your calendar rather than outside), it’s worth reminding ourselves of the dangers of UV rays.
It came as a surprise to me recently to learn that the advice for runners is to use sun protection on every run during the summer and on sunny days throughout the winter. It seems that even during the typical British summer’s day when there can be a fair amount of cloud cover, given the amount of time that some runners can spend outdoors, it can mount up to lead to problems.
