FUNDRAISER Claire Lomas (right) is aiming to complete the 2016 Great North Run in five days in a bionic suit.
The 36-year-old, who was paralysed in a riding accident, said: “I’ve always fancied doing the Great North Run and I was thrilled when the organisers invited me to take part having heard I had been turned away from other events.”
Her Great North Run journey will begin on September 7 and it is anticipated that she will complete around three miles per day and take in the final mile on September 11.
