KENDRA HARRISON says her world record-breaking run in London has gone a long way to making up for the disappointment of missing out on the Rio Olympics.
Having annihilated a world-class 100m hurdles field in 12.20 to break the 28-yearold record, Harrison said: “It makes up for [the trials] a lot. Not making that team, of course I’m still disappointed. I had to move forward and set new goals. That’s what helped me train hard for this moment.”
Harrison said her world record goal enabled her to refocus, and she now aims to win the Diamond League.
“I came out here with a vengeance,” she added. “I went to show these girls that I still have it in me.
