Calling the shots has never been a problem for Sean Mathias, one of the UK’s most revered theatre directors. From the West End to Broadway, and everywhere inbetween, Welsh-born Sean, 63, has brought multiple award-winning productions to the stage, including 2013’s No Man’s Land, starring his former partner Ian McKellen, and Patrick Stewart. Sean is currently directing Ian McKellen on Stage at the Harold Pinter Theatre, in London, and is the newly appointed artistic director of Theatre Royal Windsor’s 2020 summer season. He also co-owns The Grapes pub in London’s Limehouse.
