This vast resource is the largest repository of LGBT+ materials in the world, and it’s the oldest existing LGBT+ organisation in the US. Founded in 1952, the Archives’ collections contain over two million items across all mediums. We spoke to the Archives’ director, Joseph Hawkins, about LA’s colourful LGBT+ history.
