It’s time to go boldly into unknown and exciting territories as 1883 takes you on a voyage with some of the biggest names around. Gracing our cover this issue is the unstoppable Zoe Saldana who has recently made her return to outer space in Star Trek Into Darkness. We hung out with the fiery lady in NYC to talk about her skyrocketing career and her constant evolution as one of Hollywood’s hottest names.
Summer is just around the corner and it’s everyone’s favourite time of the year: festival season. So who better to give us the inside scoop than those who have performed at some of the biggest festivals around? Artists such as Liam Fey (The Courteeners) and Orlando Weeks (The Maccabees) give us their advice on everything from the most magical locations to who does the best beer.
In our film section we catch up with our favourite Skins girl, Hannah Murray who has seen great success with both Game of Thrones and That Face. We also caught up with Robert Sheehan and get a first hand taste of his cheeky, lovable personality as well as speaking with Jamie Dornan about shaking off his reputation as the CK model and making his mark in the world of acting. Our music section includes the hottest band of the moment: Bastille, as well as interviews with Tom Odell and Foals.
Fashion this issue delves in to the furthest recesses of the human psyche. From dark, sinister moods in Ronin and O Mia Sibilla! to the surreal Sadie Gets Cultured (inspired by David LaChapelle’s work who we interviewed also for this issue), there is no corner of the mind left unexplored. As for beauty, it’s all about the future as 1883 checks out the hi-tech and the high-performing essentials for summer. We also take a look at the biggest trends such as our love affair with blue as well as a hair editorial inspired by your summer daring cocktail menu!

Not just London based

Highly entertaining magazine for all trends Reviewed 16 October 2018

This is my first time reading 1883, the Tom Hiddleston issue. I have to say it's brilliant, insightful, and beautifully done. I'd likely purchase another issue, or I may just subscribe. Reviewed 11 September 2012
