It seems the news media is bent on having us believe the world is much more dangerous than ever before. Close behind are the financial institutions which constantly promote loans—especially marketing the idea to the younger generation that borrowing is the way to secure their futures. And then there’s the camp who insist that traveling for pleasure or long periods is akin to throwing away time and money. Despite it all, why is it that millennials ignore these bombardments and are considered the most traveling generation in history?
There’s a growing number of young people who’ve left everything behind to venture into the world without time limits, before making decisions to raise families, and before achieving economic or professional stability. Clearly the world has changed in such a way as to permit this unusual lifestyle. But why now?
