It is modest both in size and venue but the annual Nottingham Tile Fair organised by the Tiles and Architectural Ceramics Society has an important place in the diary for collectors in this specialised field. Mark van Veen, based in the Netherlands, is the fair’s new organiser and is a second generation dealer in European antique tiles.
The next event on Saturday, October 7 at St Jude’s Church Hall in Dapperly is chosen for its date and proximity to IACF Newark and Arthur Swallow’s October fairs.
The exhibitors include Adrian Grater from London, who stands at Portobello specialising in British decorative tiles from 1870-1970, and Kiek and Hein de Jong from Holland.
