Gallé vases, seen below right on the mantel piece of a Parisian apartment in the early 1900s, are going under the hammer at Plymouth Auction Rooms on December 13.
The vases, above right, along with a French 19th century clock by AD Mougin also shown in the photograph, were inherited by the vendor from her parents who had owned the French apartment.
The 10in (25cm) high vases are decorated with flowers and birds, and are signed E.Galle and Mourey, the latter possibly refering to Gabriel Mourey, an art historian and an influential art critic living in Paris in the early 1900s. One vase has suffered a hairline crack, which is reflected in the £200-300 estimate.
