A sale encompassing the past 200 years of Greek art will be offered at Bonhams New Bond Street on May 2.
Comprising 113 lots, the sale is described by the auction house as tracing the “quest for Greekness” in the nation’s art. Among the highlights is Young Man from Piraeus (right), an early work by one of the major figures of the ‘30s Generation of artists, Yiannis Tsarouchis (1910-89).
