The California International Antiquarian Book Fair and the New York International Antiquarian Book Fair give dealers the chance to access the US east coast and west coast markets within the first few months of the year.
This year, the California event (February 9-11) immediately followed the ILAB Congress, which took place in Los Angeles. The fair spends alternate years in southern California and San Francisco and this 1st edition was based in the Pasadena Center. It hosted more than 200 booksellers as well as a special exhibit on Frankenstein, marking the 200th anniversary of the classic horror novel’s publication.
