Made from thousands of tiny tiles or tesserae, this large 19th century Italian micromosaic depicts the Vatican in Rome.
The 3ft 5in x 2ft (1.04m x 61cm) panel dates to c.1870 and features groups of people in 19th century dress in St Peter’s Square below the dome of St Peter’s Basilica.
