Hospital raffle smashes target

LIFE WILL be easier for hospital patients thanks to the generosity of the people of Tarbert, Lochgilphead and surrounding area.

At the behest of member Hector Thomson, Tarbert Masonic Lodge promoted a grand raffle to raise funds for a special piece of medical equipment for Mid Argyll Hospital - a vein finder.

On offer as a first prize was an original painting of the Crinan Canal, valued at £800, by Tarbert land and seascape artist Stuart Herd.
