EIGHT football teams battled it out at the annual Argyll and Bute Cup tournament in Lochgilphead last Saturday.

The teams were divided into two groups of four with the top two from each group going forward to the semi-finals.

Host club Red Star were in group one along with Carradale, Rothesay Brandane and Kilchoman. Group two consisted of Oban Saints, who won the trophy last year, Tarbert, Glasgow Islay and Dunoon.

Dunoon’s Stuart MacIntyre, in red and white, won the player of the tournament award.
