Parliament spotlight falls on minister over Rest

THE TRANSPORT minister is to be quizzed by a Holyrood committee over progress on the Rest and be Thankful.

A petition asking for the Scottish Government to carry out work to permanently resolve the landslide problem on the A83 at the Rest was raised by Mid Argyll councillor Dougie Philand.

At a meeting of the Scottish Parliament public petitions committee on September 29, members agreed to write to the Minister for Transport and the Islands, Humza Yousaf MSP.
